The week I spent in LA, I stayed in Sunset Tower Hotel and loved it. The rooms were beautifully comfortable as in beautiful and cumfy:) My husband enjoyed it too. He keeps asking when to go back.
I travel as part of my job. Generally I try to stay in nice hotels because I am going to be there for a week at a time and I want to be pampered. The Sunset Tower was in a perfect location for me and looked very nice. It even came highly recommended.
Over the years I have dealt with some of the nicest and some of the worst hotel personnel ...
Didn't have any problems, the price was affordable considering the other options in town, and the service was friendly. Overall, a good experience and I can say that next time I am in town I will be staying here again.
I have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Sunset Tower hotel with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and were so knowlegable in the local area.
The hotel has a great ambience. It manages to mix old school feeling glamour with modern. The views from the pool area across LA were just ...

Run -- don't walk -- away!!!

We ate at the Tower Bar on Saturday (3/8/08) and were extremely disappointed. It had been a year or two since we last went there, after service was terrible on two different occasions. We'd hoped things had changed, but alas no. Despite being told it was a special occasion during the reservation process, we ended up at an "added" ...

location was perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

When it was the Argle and I miss it too. It was an amazing place and the staff was amazing! I went about once a month and the staff made me feel so amazing. How could I not miss it? Tamara Lempicka is one of my favorite artist's and I was introduced to her there.

i miss the argyle- am i the only one?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
nothing wrong with the new place, just don't see any reason go back. way too much of the original deco and texture of the argyle is replaced with soulless redesign and furnishings. clean, modern and nice enough, but so uninspired. there's plenty of hotels that look and feel just like it in every city. i miss the argyle for its uniqueness and unpretentious authenticity, like the time-portal that it was.
