Excellent for price!Instead of staying where my conference was located (Paradise Point Resort), I saved $120 a night by staying at this hotel and used the savings to enjoy all the nearby attractions. The room was very large, much bigger then the spendy rooms at Paradise. It is an older hotel, but clean and offers a great value with VERY friendly and helpful staff. It is also near freeway access. STAY AWAYThis hotel was disgusting. The carpets were filty, doors wouldn't lock right and locked when you needed to get in your room. Asked for more towels and was told NO. Not a pleasant experienceI booked this particular hotel because of the RAMADA name, what a mistake that was. This was by far the worst travel expeirence I've ever had. For starters, I reserved a King Bed non smoking. Upon arrival i was told there was only smoking rooms available. Very incompetent staffI was traveling to San Diego on business and specifically selected the Ramada for a) its proximity to my place of business, b) the price, and c) since I was taking the train, the free shuttle from the train station to the hotel that the hotel's web site indicated it offered. We Recommend This One!A family emergency had taken us to San Diego from Ohio in April 2000. Our family of six was treated as first class guests and made to feel comfortable while in SD by the staff of Ramada, from housekeeping to the Front Desk. They went out of their way to assist us with every detail, from our room needs to getting around SD. Our room was always attended to, the facilities always available and in order.
