    Many motels in the area allow pets. it's much easier to bring my pet, than pay for boarding.

    The Rio Sands is a hidden gem with a reasonable price. It is a short walk to one the best beaches on Monterey Bay. One can walk for miles toward Monterey.

    The grounds of the Rio Sands are immaculately maintained, and the rooms are simple but clean and well-maintained. The kitchenettes have everything you would need to make dinner.
