I don't think the rats are that big a problem.
The motel doesn't charge you anything extra for having them in the room. The motel does have a policy of charging $250 extra for pets being in rooms. So one shouldn't complain about the rats, who's to say if they aren't pets. Just beacuse you chased a poor little rat around and it ran out the door. Who could blame it.

I was not happy when I found a large rat in my room. I chased it out and it ran back to the creek by the motel.

I found feces all over the room, so it seems to be more than a isolated incident. I asked the front office for a discount, but was not given one.

Here is my breakdown of this location.

Positive 1 Star - The motel is within a few block to a nice state beach. The beach is not too crowded and is quite large. Parking close to the beach is tough, so you will most likely have to walk to the beach from the motel.

Negative 2 Stars - The exterior appearance is just plain ugly, rusty metal bars ...

Yes these reviews do look fake. Here is a quote from a prior review.

"Card key opens the outside, manual handle on the inside and a battery back up system to prevent lock outs."

How would any average person know the locks have battery back up? There are no batteries visible anywhere. The back up system would be behind the scenes somewhere.

This isn't a 5 star motel! Anyone that says it is works for the motel or has lived in a trailer park their whole life.

My family and I truely enjoyed our stay. The staff members were a joy to speak with at the desk. I did need to have the desk translate my request to the maid service, but it was not a problem.

This place is real dangerous. Not only does it not have A/C in the rooms, it has the original 60's era heaters in the room. There are no modern safety measures on the heaters, the heater in my room went out and gas was going into my room. You would think they would be required to update to modern safer units.

I have seen pictures of the motel on other web sites. It does look quite bad. I take all these reviews with a grain of salt. But a picture is hard to ignore and as they say worth a 1000 words
