They destroyed it!

We were in California in early August and stopped by what used to be our favorite bed and breakfast. We were shocked to find that all of the things that made it wonderful had been ripped out. The sitting room, piano mementos etc...were all gone. The place looked like an IKEA store. We won't be back.

The cost per room was absolutely rediculous for the accomodations. This was absolutely not a Four Star Inn. The restaurant is across the street and actually was decent.

Costly Evening: Not worth the price

Let me preface this review by saying I did not stay at the hotel. I only ate dinner at the Wine Cask's restaurant. I had a less than stellar experience. The food was okay, but expensive. Salad is a la carte, with no soup offered. I was served a decaf coffee, and then had a refill of caffeinated coffee. The refill was free, as well as my ...

Be careful if you are a returning visitor!

We have stayed at Fess Parker for both weekend and midweek breaks before, and our recent visit had a few surprises in store. Not sure why san diego didnt like it. The service was great, the food ( breafast and dinner were included) was very good. Our room was clean and we loved the cookies at turn down. price a little steep but worth it for special occasions. My anniversary

Not worth any of the steep price for the lack of attention to detail such as:
ants in the room, dead flowers on (all of) the restaurant tables, broken refrigerator with mildew smell in the room, torn carpeting with several bad stains, chipped paint in a couple of different places around the room. I guess having a famous name and face allow you to get away with serious lacks of quality. We were very disappointed!
