As another reviewer commented they had to drive to Albertson's for drinking water. Not a big deal; you just need to know you'll be a bit isolated and lots of things (like water) are not within walking distance. But - that 'bit of isolation' is also a huge part of the charm and attraction! The room itself didn't "wow" ...

Great Spa!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/07
I have never been to a spa with so many talented, healing thereapists. I now go once a month and continuously get the best massages I have ever received, creme of the crop as far as I'm concerned. The atmosphere and amenities are all wonderful as well, and La Costa's body treatments are to die for!
This place provides the highest quality of service to all thier clients. After a long week at work, it is an outstanding place to relax and enjoy life.

Not impressed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/07
The rooms were very average. I was very excited to play a golf course with this reputation, but was not impressed. I have played many top 100 coursed and this is certainly not one of them. The green surrounds were decent and in good shape, but that is where it ends. Layout is OK but conditions, not so much. I can play this course back in MN for 30 bucks with a free cart.

This Hotel and Spa is a five star establishment. After a busy week, it is the very best place to go and enjoy all the things they have to offer their guests. The spa is so relaxing.

A beautiful resort! :D
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/06
This is the first resort that I've been to. It is so beautiful. I was so excited and walked around everywhere. I stayed for 2 days. The weather was perfect the 1st day but raining on the 2nd day. I had the 'cheapest' room but the room was very nice already. I like the 5X lighted wall-mount mirror, full-length mirror in the bathroom, ...

Not a 5 star resort...would not return.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/05
I travel all over the world and enjoy staying at luxury spa resorts...unfortunatly, our stay at La Costa was not what we anticipated. Our upgraded superior room seemed a bit generic and bland for it's price. I was surprised to see cobwebs in the room near the ceiling at a luxury resort. Our golf course /tennis court room was located near the ...
The resort was very nice. The service was above par....my wife loved the spa.....
The golf course was just "OK". Good thing i played twilight. For a PGA course....i was extremely disappointed.....i would not pay to play here again...
