This hotel is in a great location. It's close to the interstate, the zoo, the beaches, the harbor, etc. The breakfast diner and the Mexican restarant were both very good. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Could Not Ask For A Better Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/06
This place went above & beyond the call of duty to make our stay a great experience. We had a large group and the staff made sure that we were all booked in either adjoining rooms or that the rooms were situated together. We had an internet problem and their provider came to the motel after hours to assure that the situation was handled. The ...

Great location; OK facility
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/12/05
It was very close to all of the places we wanted to go to when we were there; The waffle house was convenient for breakfast and had good food; the room was ok, bathroom very small and cramped, but over all it was a good value place to stay.
we were scammed by an internet hotel deal and lost the hotel we had reservations at. Kings Hotel not only gave us one of the their last two rooms but they honored the internet rate we had expected with the other hotel.

stupendous atmosphere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/05
The hotel is set on Hotel Circle South in San Diego just off the I-8 highway. The two restaurants serve excellent food, one being of Mexican specialties. The atmosphere, to include the Hotel staff are stupendous, freindly and well mannered. The prices were nicely rated to accomodate my needs. Highly recommended for business or leisure.

The Best Place I Ever been
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/05
I have travel arround the world, I have stay in large hotels and pay big $$$, this place was all about service, the people in the front desk are all about service, they made it easy to go to all the attractions, the mexican food with the live mariachi music was great (friday night) and the waffles for breakfast are great,my kids love the pool and ...
For the price we paid the hotel was good. I would stay there again except I would stay away from room #140 because it smelled really bad. The bathroom is REALLY small but if you're with people who don't spend that much time in it then you're o.k. I really like that it was close to everything and the staff were very friendly. If ...

Great place for a great price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/05
I was very uneasy about choosing a 'budget' hotel for my vacation, but found that most of the hotels in the area were outrageously overpriced, so I found this hotel. My biggest fear about traveling is a dirty room. I found the place to be very clean and well maintained. The rooms were cleaned very well each day, and felt very comfortable ...

Nice local hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/05
This is a small local hotel which offers great service and a nice restaurant. Ok its not the Hilton- but if you want a comfertable place near everything in San Diego I would recomend the Kings Inn. It has a nice family feel to it. (And by the way you have to have breakfast there) My room was fine too...again its not a 5 star gem but when I travel I much prefer to stay in these nice local hotels.

It's silly, but I like it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
The King's Inn is one of those places your parents took you as a kid...just a short step up from Motel 6. It's clean and comfy, and the breakfast at the Waffle Spot cannot be beat. (There's actually a line most mornings). The location, on Hotel Circle, is one of the more central locations in San Diego...right by the freeway and ...
