A confirmation doesn't mean anything.Uno, the owner, sent me an e-mail confirming our reservation and also said in the e-mail that the cancellation policy was 7 days prior to arrival. Well, when I had to cancel a few rooms and keep only one (3 weeks prior to arrival) he became very irate and said that we could not keep the one room reservation and that he would just cancel all of the ...6 of 6 Yahoo! Will not returnThe hotel is dark dingy badly lit and has been knocked about. I stayed there 18/19 March 2006 would certainly not go back or recommend it. The staff however are very friendly.4 of 5 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulOVERALLService

Old world charmI liked the old fashioned mentality of the place. It was both very basic and yet very original and period.

Hotel with a Casbah lookThis hotel has a unique charm to it. When you go inside, you see a Morrocan theme to it. One can get the feeling of stepping back in time going into this place. The rooms were more than adequate for my needs. Parking was OK. They have a lot that they use for parking. Get there early. There are other lots they use, but they are not as close to the hotel. Great Moorish influencesStayed for only a few nights, but it will leave a fond memory of LA.
The hotel was a feast for the eyes. My room was both elegant and comfortable - something proud to entertain, or tempting to just laze about in. Yes, the lighting was low, but it only completed the ambeince.
The ground floor lobby, restaurant/cafe and pool/bar also had of good presentation and quality.
