I am from Alaska and Mom, from Arizona, wanted the family together for Thanksgiving. Since my brother from Northern Ca. and sister from Az. have dogs we decided on the Cavalier since it is animal friendly. We have enjoyed every day. Restaurant was excellent. The front desk was more then accommodating and hospitable.

We were taking part in a large family reunion and experienced extreme rudeness and lack of professional behavior on the part of the restaurant manager at the resort.

In an industry where service is everything, the treatment by the restaurant manager superceded the rest of our experience. Based on such, we cannot recommend this location.

Rudeness on the part of the restaurant manager ruined our lunch and tainted our San Simeon/Cambria experience. Don't waste your $$$ here.

Hotel is fine, but whoever hired the restaurant manager clearly wasn't thinking straight.

Room accomodations were nice, however courtesy and tactfulness on the part of the attached restaurant's management were lacking. We had organized a family reunion, getting my elderly grandmother and family from as far away as Malaysia and Toronto to come. As we were conversing over lunch, the manager came over to us in a rude and loud manner ...

Can't complain about the hotel itself, but the restaurant was terrible. The manager chided us for bringing in a large party because he thought it changed the atmosphere of the restaurant for other people. For a tourist location, and for any business for that matter, I thought having paying customers was a good thing... Anyway, I'd encourage everyone to go somewhere else, this restaurant is unwelcoming and not worth your time.

The most wonderful restaurant and heated pool, Jacuzzi, Gym- fireplace in the room, AMAZING!!!

What a wonderful beach. The motel lights fire pits at night so you can sit around them and enjoy the sight and sound of the surf. This Best Western is one of the best we have stayed in and we want to go back soon. If I'm ever missing, look for me there.

I used to work in the front office where I had the pleasuer of greating new guests and the frequent returnning guests - like family. I hope you will enjoy your visit.

Just returned from our honeymoon... to our surprise, this place was our favorite. We wished we would have left Monterey sooner to have been able to stay here another night. We cant wait to go back. Very clean, up to date feel.
