Agreeing w/ review by "Carol" - unable to book a room at L/A, even calling exactly 1 year in advance for reservations. Buyer, beware. The formerly nice restaurant is now "sports bar & grill" - well prepared food on cold plates with atmosphere of a TV sales department, except each TV is blinking a different channel. Still, visiting Sedona is fabulous. mmshoppe/AZ
We bought a time share in the mid-90s. Even back then, whenever we called, we were told they were booked up. Well, people, guess what. Only 30% of the rooms are for timeshare owners. The better rooms are for hotel (read paying) guests. When it was revealed that only 30% were for owners, we called as a hotel guest and were able to book right away. ...
My family owns timeshare at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa. We enjoy the sights and amenities of the Spa. It’s a great town and a good Spa. We did make the mistake of following the concierge’s advice when booking our tour of the Grand Canyon. She recommended “Blue Feather Tours”. Stay away from “Blue Feather ...
LIKES: The grounds and feeling to the place is VERY peaceful and gorgeous. We travel a fair amount and this is the best in my mind. Beats Kierland Westin, JW Marriott's and any Palm Springs resorts. For some reason it's my favorite resort anywhere - Read down by the creek - Accupuncture at the Spa - A little tennis - Morning aerobics in the ...
Los Abrigados is conveniently located near most of the scenic areas one would want to visit. A few minutes from uptown Sedona, and close to the beauty of the red rocks, Los Abrigados is definitely a great place to stay, as long as you can tolerate mediocre service and apathetic attitudes. Our initial encounter with the Front Desk agent, ...

grounds are beautiful, restaurants are great, rooms are dark, dingy, furniture beat up and uncomfortable. This could be a great resort but it really really needs to have the rooms updated.

Timeshare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/07
Dont bother buying into the timeshare, you will never be able to get a reservation at any of the resorts! ALWAYS BOOKED! You will end up having to sell and loose money to be able to stop paying the maintenance fee on a property that is always booked. I had the timeshare for 6 years and was only able to get reservations ONCE! STAY AWAY!
Well I got pulled in by thier catch for time shares and can say overall I have had a geat experience. The resurants are known by clebraties and the resort itself is updating all the rooms very nicely. I was greeted by friendly staff and clean rooms. There is a daycare on site for small ones if the grown ups want some queit time. Great family place. We are definity making this a yearly trip.

We Love Sedona
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/06
We have a unit at Los Abrigados. My wife and I have stayed there four years and taken our son's family twice. We look forward to our return each time we plan vacation. We have always been treated with respect and the staff is very helpful. I don't like any sales pitch - but that seems to be the nature of the beast. I choose to pass when ...

Sedona trip 0506
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/06
The location is great. It's in the middle of Sedona, next to Tlaquepaque shopping center. It has all the amenaties needed and it's a really great place. We didn't spend a lot of time at the resort, but it was clean and they had everything we needed. I hope to go back. The only thing that was bad was when I went to shower one day and the ...
