A good deal of people who come through Tuscaloosa are either moving their kids onto campus for the semester or going to a football game. The hotel is close to campus and the noise from McFarland didn't bother us at all. The din of cars at night will not bother you if you come from the city/suburbs. If you live in the country, perhaps choose some hotel off the beaten track. Those who work there are polite and the place is very clean.

This is an Old hotel

Even with a face lift it is obvious that this hotel has been around for a long time. The room was clean but the bedspreads threadbare. Our room was directly behind the O'Charley's parking lot. We were awakened to the beeping of garbage trucks dumping their garbage. They get an "E" for effort, but you can only do so much with something that dated.
Typical motel but was at least clean and offered a decent free breakfast. Only problem were the noisy room facing the highway. Truck noise all night long. Also you can't walk anywhere except the O'Charlies restaurant without getting runover. Try somewhere more off the highway but this will do in a pinch.
