It was under renovation but John was making wonderful improvments. Service was great.John would do anything to make your stay pleasent.

We were there in August, but with Mary gone and the new management... our trash was never emptied, room never cleaned. The new management spent alot of time smoking and drinking beer in the pool.

had a contract in place for several months for a wedding reception and 45 days before the wedding after my wife and myself had visited John several times. He booked the entire hotel out for a camp of some sort. And then had the audacity to tell my wife that we could just move the wedding date. The man is rude and has no sense of business ethics. I would recommend pitching a tent before I would suggest his hotel to anyone.

The Yacht Club is for folks who enjoy peace and quiet, down-home comfort in a setting that begs you to make yourself at home with all the amenities. Like a Hemmingway feel? Enjoy being away from hustling crowds people rushing around? Great 1920s ambience, laid-back but first rate service, just let John know what you need. On the way to the beach? We have stayed a number of times and enjoy each stay! The owners (John and Mary) are very nice people and will make sure your stay is very hospitable! I'm in the hotel business (large chain) and enjoy breaking away to visit the Yacht Club..Should say something about the place....everyone knows their names! You can't say that about alot of hotels!
