We stayed 2 nights. We found the staff to be very unhelpful and hateful. There was defiantly a feeling of dislike toward Americans. The room was also very small and the bed was simply awful; more like a board across two buckets than a bed. We will never stay here again or advise anyone elst to.

NICE HOTEL FRIENDLY SERVICE

My wife and I stayed four nights. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast good, and our room was clean and comfortable. We loved Scotland, and will return to Edinburgh, and stay at the Old Waverly.

Room was far too small and the bathroom was in need of a makeover. A bottle of Champagne was purchased before arrival and left in the room with a bucket but no ice or glasses! Very noisy at the front of the hotel but great location. We believe that is why they have 3 stars - certainly not for the service or customer care.

The hotel is situated in a good geographical location, at the heart of Princes Street and directly opposite Waverley rail and bus stations. It offers clean and comfortable accommodation for a modest sum, and the inclusive Scottish breakfast is an additonal bonus.
