Wonderful HotelI stayed at this hotel a year ago and found the location perfect and the price very affordable. It is located right about a subway stop. My room was huge for a hotel room in Europe and the bed and furnature was very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. never come backLocation is good. Bedrooms not so bad. But service during the breakfast was awful - hot food, serving of tea, coffee. Staff says they don't have enough teapots, so many guests leave the room haven't got a cup of tea.3 of 5 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulOVERALL

Will go back!I only have fantastic things to say about Thistle Charing Cross. Fantastic location, excellent staff, service outstanding, comfortable room, conveniently located, OUTSTANDING place to stay.
First time visitor to the UK and the staff was amazingly helpful and always available. My thanks....I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

I wouldn't even look for a different hotel!Awesome location, walk to Trafalger, Parliment, Westminster Abbey, the Eye...Plus rail and tube service at the hotel! Nicely remodeled rooms and a helpful staff. We are going back there this summer! Enjoy- you can't get a better location!6 of 6 Yahoo! Perfect locationLocated right above a tube station, and just adjacent to Trafalgar square, with clean rooms and helpful staff, you really can't ask for much more from this hotel. We were able to walk to most tourist locations, from the British Museum to the Theater District. And even for those sights a little farther out, like the Tower of London, it is ...5 of 5 Yahoo! Location, Location, Location!!!We booked this hotel to be near the Charing Cross train station where we would board the train to Dover. We hoped it would be walking distance with our 3 roller-bags. We never imagined that the train station and the subway would be right next door!!! We stayed 2 nights and the location was the absolute best. We walked to Big Ben, Parliament, ...8 of 8 Yahoo! Insufficient heating and noisyWe stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and the room was always much colder than the hallway, even when turning the heating to the maximum. It was simply not strong enough for January. The bathroom did not have a heater to begin with, and when you're coming straight out of bed you may not feel like meeting the January cold in your bathroom. Best location in town!I've stayed at the Thistle Charing Cross 4 times already on business trips, always managing to book a couple days on each end of the trip for personal "London" time. Best location we ever bookedOne of the best located hotels in London, nicely refurbished rooms, at least de-luxe rooms are big exnough, very helpful staff, very clean.
