just don't trust the 5-star review they are probably made by employees or the owner...

Es viejo y deteriorado. Lleno de palomas y cucarachas. Si no creen lo que les cuento busquen en primerahora.com y vean como el departamento de salud estuvo a punto de cerrarlo por las condiciones de saneamiento. Además te cobran la tarifa completa en vez de una penalidad.

I'm sorry I did not read the reviews before I booked a room. In my opinion this is a really expensive place that's not worth the call. Rooms are small, dirty and smelly. I booked the night before I got there Once there I saw the rooms bad condition I turned around and told the front clerk I was leaving. I asked if there were any penalties ...

I was charge an extra day, and I have been trying to get my money back for months.

Everyone knows that the 5 stars that the people rate here are not from people who visited the hotel.
The rooms stinks, it's not even a clean place. The pool looks OK, but it's 100% contaminated, the Hotel also had problems with the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.
You can even see the roaches walking, in rooms, walls, halls. Check out newspapers, read more and if you can visit another place, well do it.

It's a shame that a beautiful and historical building has become run down. It is too expensive, rooms were too small and dirty, beds uncomfortable, furniture old and falling apart and low water pressure. Had to ask for towels when we arrived and some were torn and stained. Hotel is locked up at midnight and all personnel leaves. There is no security. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great Historic Place, rooms small but cool.The parking lot is nearby but no lights at night, still free, some hotels doesn't. The staff is nice helping us but no elevator. Uff!!! carrying our bags was a full drain of energy. The town is quite and the students of the nearby university didn't make too much noise. Will come back again Sure!!
