Just got back from Ixtapa last week(12/8/08). The weather there is perfect; hot and humid. Stayed at the Krystal while I was there for 2 weeks. Awesome view of the ocean. Rooms not very stylish. Bed sheets ugly. Pool excellent and warm. Not much selection for food.
It is close to a lot of cool attractions, but close to a lot of time shares who try to sell stuff to you.


I'd go back to ixtapa, but at a different time of year. mostly Mexican people there in the summer and too hot.

It was a pleasant stay we really liked the accomadations. We did like the pool side services and the service at the pool bar. The gentalman who was there was very rude. We did like the guy that was at the pool that was entertaining the kids. The food was great!

The location is excellent and the pool area quite spectacular. The hotel has been purchased by NH Hotels and they've made alot of improvements since we last stayed there two years ago.
The rooms are remodeled and there are alot more staff members to serve you.
The only thing I didn't like was the hard mattress, everything else is super!
