I liked the location and the view of Mexico City. Many good restaurants in and around the hotel. TWO Starbucks with excellent coffee and iced tea. Bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom needed some work though. Rooms were also too hot. Overall, an okay experience.

Polanco is a nice location for tourists with nearby parks, shopping, dining, and tourist opportunities. However, the management of the Presidente is living in the past. To consider internet service as an extra charge on an already very high rate is OUTRAGEOUS. And the charge is about $20 per day! Additionally, the hotel-related taxis are ...

Horrible Service, best view of the city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
The employees here have no customer service training, well maybe by the KGB or something. The place has many restaurants, all overrated, overpriced-most with a seating fee (alfredo di Roma & Pie de Cauchon). THe only very good thing this hote has is the park view. SPECTACULAR! you will probably not find a better view of Chapultepec Park anywhere else. Everything else is 3 stars, but the view is 5 stars.

Scary to be treated this way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/06
First the good: It is a pretty hotel with a grand lobby, and the concierge is helpful and recommended very good places to walk and eat in the nicest neighborhood in Mexico City. Now the rest: I had a flood in my room from the room upstairs, which was a bit disturbing. I had a conference room booked for a presentation to a local business. I ...

I spent two days last week at your hotel. I requested a smoking room and they did not have a single ashtray, no floor mat at the bathroom, but worst, the "hotel Fee" of 15.00 US added to the daily rate. When making the reservation, this fee was never mentioned.

First trip to Mexico City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/05
I recently stayed at the Presidente Intercontinental, Mexico City. My husband travels frequently to Mexico City on business, so I went with him for a week. While this hotel is good for the buisness traveller, it does not have a sundeck or even an outside courtyard for sitting and relaxing. Not everyone wants to stay inside all the time. There ...

Great Hotel, but don't stay there in the summer if you're menopausal!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/05
I loved everything about the hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous, the room spacious and clean. My only complaint was the "air conditioning". THey call it that, but it just blows air. I found this to be true in all the hotels in Mexico that I've stayed at. They either don't have air conditioning, or it just blows a room temperature air - not cool at all.

Presidente InterContinental Mexico City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/04
This hotel is my favorite of everywhere I stayed in Mexico City. The modern amenities, bright, large rooms and courteous staff all added to my enjoyment. The front entrance lobby was beautifully decorated with a variety of plants and flowers and the outside pool and hot tub were fabulous. After a long day at the office, I had a wonderful evening relaxing in the hot tub, followed by a terrific mean pool side. Highly recommend!
