i went to the montreal grandprix race end of august 2006. this was a great loction as it was steps away from the metro underground station what would only take us 10 min to get to the event venue on the island.

Hotel Lord Berri in Montreal

We stayed in the Lord Berri for three days in July and liked it very much. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was clean and the towels, while not luxurious, were just fine. We arrived to hear the parking garage was full and had to park in an outside lot near the hotel. The room was clean but the towels were threadbare and ragged and most badly stained. We had a room facing the street on the 7th floor and the street noise and people were very disruptive until the wee hours of the morning. Overall it is a bargain hotel in a so-so area just off St. Cahterine Street East (not a place to wander alone after dark).
