if on foot, you may have to hike up a few hills to get the majority of downtown, but great location, close to the market, and definitely seattle style.

The most comfortable bed ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/05
The Edgewater has the most comfortable bed ever. It was so comfortable that I wish I can stay there forever. It was also the best sleep I've ever had. Evertime I book a hotel room anywhere, I always compare it with the bed at The Edgewater and no one has ever gotten close.
Hotels are places where we go to have a temporary home. The Edgewater made me feel at home more than any other hotel I have stayed in. I have been able to travel all over the world, but only four hours from my real home, Seattle provides the most comfortable home away from home I've experience. Not to mention that it is right on the water, ...
This hotel is beautiful inside and out. It's located on/over the water so you have beautiful views of the water and a great inside ambiance. The restaurant is one the highest quality fine dining restaurants I have visited. It's easy to get anywhere from this hotel by foot, by trolly, and the hotel also offers a shuttle service that ...
The Edgewater showcases Seattle in a way no other hotel can do in Seattle. It sits right on Elliott Bay and many rooms look right out to the water. the lobby area feels like being in a lodge.
The room was very romantic and comfortable. All rooms have fireplaces and comfortable beds with big down comforters. The amenities in the rooms make it easy to stay in and never come out! We loved it!
The rooms are cozy and warm with fireplaces and bearskin rugs. The bed was to die for!! What a wonderful romantic hotel. The location is fantastic! The staff attentive and charming.
Not satisfied with just near the bay? How about over the bay? Minutes from downtown with all it's dining, theaters and movies and closer still to Pike Place Market and of course Seattle's waterfront. Cozy, lodge style rooms with "river rock" fireplaces, big chairs and all the little touches you expect - and some you don't, ...
The staff was very accomdating, breath-taking views of the water, food was excellent and reasonable priced for the quality. Room was unique, fire placed added that extra UUMP!
Located smack-dab against Puget Sound, the Edgewater looks and feels like a skiing, hunting, and/or fishing lodge. The rooms are cozy, a bit on the small side, but most have a gas-burning fireplace to complement the massive one in the lobby. Fresh apples await you at check-in and the staff is warm and helpful. You'll find a Life magazine cover ...

Cool hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/05
These are very roomy hotels heated by a fireplace in your room. It is a hotel on the water. If your room gets hot, you can open up your window for fresh air.
The rooms are very large. The bathroom was nice also. It was very nice and cozy.
The restaurant and lounge are awesome.
I didn't realize that this was the hotel the Beatles and Led Zepplin stayed at. A lot of Brit's staying here also.
