It is an old hotel. It was not clean at all. The bedding was stained and the bathroom's were very nasty. They didn't even clean under the toilet lid's. The stove in the kitchen was dirty. They did an half ass job trying to renovate it. It could be a much better hotel if they put the money into it and retrained the housekeeping to actually clean the room's. Would not recommend it to anyone.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/09
We have stayed at the Viking the last 5 years and 3 of those years we asked for the same room. This year our room was in much needed repairs! The Air conditioner vent was FILTHY! Which we both came home SICK which I feel was from the air conditioner vents NOT being cleaned! The tiles near the vent was falling down. Out of our 7 day stay our room ...

STAY AWAY FROM NORTH SIDE OF HOTEL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/09
This is out sixth year at virginia beach. Rates are reasonable but stay away from what is called the north side of hotel. This is where the rooms face the office. We were not told this by the management when checking inn. This is where are the high school kids are put. It was like being at home with the neighbor kids. FOUL LANQUAGE FROM GIRLS AND ...
I stay here for 4 days on vacation I had a good room if you walk to the end of the balcony you could see the beach which was perfect in the morning. I loved the pool it was very old school but it worked and was clean. The only thing I didn't like was staff was weird. If I needed a place for a quick cheap getaway I would stay there again.
me and my boyfriend stayed here april 11-13 2008 and we enjoyed it ..even though we was the only ones on the 2nd floor lol but it was peaceful and its in the middle of everything we're going back this summer in june and we have decided to stay here again!!

Great place to stay on a budget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/07
We actually were scheduled to stay across the street at the Econo Lodge, even though most of our family were staying at the Viking Inn, but, we wanted to have a beach view. Well after learning that the efficiency at Econolodge only had pool view, we decided to move across the street to the Viking Inn, where we saved over $100 bucks, received a ...

We will stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
We found the hotel to be quite nice on the inside, recentally rentavated. We had a 2 bedroom suite, plenty of room with a nice kitchen area. I would suggest to get a second floor or above. As the first floor front side suite had a back door that lead to the hall between the two sides of the hotel and could be noisy at times. We loved how close ...

Great on a budget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/07
Vacationed here several times. Its perfect for a family on a budget. The pool with the peek-a-boo window is awsome! Located in the heart of the strip...you have access to everything and the beach is simply across the street.
The setup of the building was different and enjoyable. The pool with the window was great fun for the smaller children that we had with us. It, also isnt very far from the beach which was a great bonus. It was very clean. Our room was cleaned on time and well. During our stay, it rained and the powers that be closed the beach. Needless to ...
