A great place to take my family for their first Jay experience, the staff was accomodating, and having a common area downstairs by the fire was a perfect setting. The restaurant got a little (a lot) busy around dinner but that wasn't surprising when we did find a table and enjoyed a delicious meal (try the fresh seafood or the slow-roasted ribs). Overall it was a great experience, I won't go anywhere else as long as there's snow.

Service, I think someone should have a seminar for the employees at Jay Village Inn to let them know what the word "service" means. Lets see, it doesn't mean have no one at the front desk...ever, or have two towels in the room for 4 days. Everyone was rude, with the exception of one waitress. Our room wasnt ready when we got there, we ...

-the average price for an entree is $20 so be prepared to spend a little, but their appetizers are very big. However, the food is really great.
-You are ignored pretty much your whole meal and completely forgotten about.
-the breakfast voucher is a waste of time, go somewhere else if you are looking ...

What a terrific stay. Very relaxing, very vermont. Our room was what you would expect in a country inn...a little small, but nice. We had wonderful meals by the fireplace, check out JR's specials! The bar is quite nice as well. This place is a little different, but so is the area. I just loved it. Second, but not my last stay.

The Jay Village Inn, and the area, is a wonderful place to visit. OK so things happen at a little different pace here, but soon you realize thats alright. Our room was a bit small, maybe even a little noisy once, but I (we) absolutely love this place. The inn is very charming, the food is great, and the snow has to be the best in the east.

The nice little inn has clearly been rennovated, only they haven't finished and the following are missing:
1) No toilet paper holder
2) No towel rack in back room
3) No vanity/top to place toiletries in batchroom
4) No closet to hang clothes - although there were two hooks behing the door

and all the above for US$179/night.

Considered high price for product provided.

Matt, the caretaker there was more than helpfull in making my daughters first skiing and lodge experience a total success. we were delighted with the accomodations,the food and close proximity to Jay Peak. We are planning on returning for the same holiday wekend in January for this season.

My husband and I had a fabulous and nostalgic trip to Jay. It had been several years since our last visit (his family used to own a chalet in the area).
We spent our first night at Hotel Jay (Jay Peak). While the view was fabulous, the hotel condition wasn't. We were quite disappointed with our stay at Hotel Jay. We then went on to Jay Village ...

The rooms are just the right size and decorated to make you feel at home. The food in the on-site restaurant is outstanding and it is conveniently located to everything Jay has to offer.
