I disliked this hotel for several reasons. The rooms were dark and depressing. We were placed in smoking rooms and we asked for non-smoking.
Inside the bathroom was mold an mildew under the sink and on the shower curtains. The comforter on the bed was dusty an looked like it hadnt been changed in years.
There were kids laying in the hallways on every floor. Hotel room doors were left wide open by the occupants. I had asked for room maintenance to fix two light fixtures every day of the visit - 5 days! Never fixed! Out of those five days, I asked for 3 wake up calls - never received them. Restaurant prices are high and the quality of food is not ...
The staff was so kind and helpful. The rooms were very clean and I liked the duvet that was on the bed. Felt like it was cleaner that the typical spread.
I liked, spacious room, and internet acess from the hotel. My dislikes were the pricey bar and the bath tub was mildwed. the food in the restruant was ok though. Pets are also allowed at this hotel.

It's going to be a frustrating week!
This was a really nice hotel at a great price. The rooms are good size and comfortable. My only complaints are the wireless internet signal was not strong enough to be used from my room and there was a fire at 3am during our stay (which was a bit disturbing actually) that resulted in us spending the rest of that night on the couch at my ...
With interiors smacking of the seventies, the Southfork Hotel offers travelers a taste of the past, albeit one which few are seeking. Although the staff is helpful and friendly, be warned that the normal double rooms are far from luxurious, nor is the hotel a jewel by any stretch of the imagination. An additional minus, granted one over which the ...
I was in Plano on business just last week. I stayed at the SouthFork for 4 days. The Southfork's restaurant, lounge, souvenir shop, and computer room met my needs quite nicely. I didn't have time to use the pool or the exercise room this visit. I hope to during my next visit. The breakfast was on the house for my entire visit. (Great ...
