feel very importantvery nice hotel. clean, well staffed and very professional. only downside with these downtown 3+ star hotels are parking fees. We won't be back.Good points:
The staff--extremely pleasant people. Bellman Rasheed was particularly helpful.
Also, the food came very quickly.
Bad points:
In the guestroom, carpet stuck to our feet, making noises with each step.

This is a toxic buildingJust stayed recently for a convention. The smoke was unbelieveable and there is terrible ventilation.
It seeps up to all the rooms and a number of my colleagues got sick and had serious asthma problems.

Decent, But...If you have allergies to smoke, this may not be the hotel for you. The bar, located in the lobby, is not a smoke-free environment and it is not well-ventilated. Also, the noise from the lobby can be heard on every floor. We stayed on the seventh, where it was very loud, but I had friends who stayed on the 25th and 26th floors, who also said the ...2 of 2 Yahoo! Great service, lots of smokeThe bar located in an atrium open to all the rooms permits smoking, and smoke goes upward, making breathing nearly impossible on lower floors and causing a foul odor in hallways all the way up to the top floors.
That said, the service was great, the food delicious, and the room comfortable if a bit crowded for two women bearing promotional materials and costumes for several convention events.OVERALLServiceCleanlinessLocationValue -

HYATT REGENCYWHAT I LIKED WAS THE SERVICE THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL STAFF. I WAS GUIDED BY ONE OF THEIR STAFF MEMMBERS FROM THE BUS STATION TO THE HOTEL STEP BY STEP I WAS LOST. AND THEY HAVE VERY GOOD RATES,AND THERE ROOM ARE VERY CLEAN. THEY ALSO ARE IN A GOOD LOCATION. THERE ARE SEVERAL PLACES TO GO EAT WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE, I DIDN'T HAVE TO RENT A CAR. Business Class Stays Wont be DisappointedWhen you travel constantly, you tend to find yourself subconsciously critiquing each place that a corporate customer puts you up in. Some places are far better than others. Some places.... well .... you just never want to admit you were there.

Hey hey what a place to stayVery Big and very hard to get what with all the closed exits around there. The Imperial Ballroom was fantastic. Had Prom there. Good food. Bathrooms very clean. Security very focused. I dropped my cell phone and picked it and walked off and one of them stopped me to ask if it was mine or if i had just found it and pocketed it.0 of 2 Yahoo! Business, not tourist locationThe room was nice though the bathroom was a bit small. The hotel and the staff were very good.
Overall this is a great hotel and great location if you are in Houston for business. downtown Houston is fairly small so it's easy to walk everywhere, though if you have to drive, that's pretty easy too.
