We went to Philadelphia to go to a baseball game at Citizens Bank Park and needed a place to crazy. This Holiday Inn Express was in the perfect location for an easy ride to and from the stadium on the subway line and was in a nice area, very central to everything we wanted to see in Philadelphia. The parking was convenient (although a little ...

GREAT LOCATION HOPE TO GO BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/08
GREAT LOCATION WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO CENTER CITY SITES. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND THE ATTACHED GARAGE WAS JUST 21 DOLLARS A DAY. A FREE BREAKFAST INCLUDED EGSS AND A VARIETY OF OTHER ITEMS. A VERY GOOD VALUE.
I stayed here for 5 nights while attending a conference at the PA Convention Center. The location was great. There were so many nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. I also trekked to area museums. The staff was always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The housekeeping staff was kind and efficient. The room was clean and very roomy. I have no complaints. I'd stay there again, given the chance.
Although we arrived early, talked with the front desk lady, our room was sigven away and she said that there wouldnt be a problem. But we got another room on a smoking floor(smelled) but we were so tired that it didnt matter. I was happy with the 3rd shift mgr on how she handled the situation.
We stayed here in March 2007 for a family reunion, and had an outstanding experience. Everyone on the staff was friendly and attentive, far more so than I've seen at much higher priced hotels. In fact, we felt more like we were staying at a bed and breakfast than a center city hotel. Whoever does the hiring and training at this hotel has ...

We can't wait to go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/04/06
This was our (my girlfriend and me) first time staying in Philadelphia for the weekend. We were both sort of nervous that the Hotel was extraordinarily reasonable ($210.00 for the weekend with a continental breakfast (which was quite tasty) with parking included (The Ben Franklin Package)). The room was clean and very spacious. The location was ...
It was located near the Kimmel Center, where we saw the play "Wicked". Did not need a cab for many of our outtings.
Close to the subway!

Perfect Family Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/05
It is difficult to find fault with this hotel. The room we had was clean and comparatively large. Front desk service was excellent, and the parking convenient. The historic district is not exactly 'next door,' but we walked there and back with our 4yo daughter with no problems. And to top it off, the cost was eminently reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
