I had a Very expensive necklace stolen out of my room. I placed it inside my suitcase before going out and the next morning I went to get it out of the box that was hidden in my suitcase and when I opened the box the OMEGA and the slider that goes on it was gone, they did leave my Brighton necklace there which only has a value of $58. I have been waiting all morning for General manager to call so I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!
I recently stayed at the Omni for a convention. Having stayed at the Marriott and Westin previously, I was extremely dissapointed in the room. If this were a Howard Johnson's, I wouldn't be complaining... I was woken up my first night at 10pm when housekeeping pounded on my door and asked if I wanted turndown service. My boss was woken ...
For a luxury hotel, it was anything but luxury. You can see the patchwork in the ceiling in the bathroom, the beds were uncomfortable, the restaurant menu was very limited and the pool was not as nice as it looks on the website.
The location of the Omni is fabulous. We enjoyed a show across the street and could walk to any bar or restaurant we desired.
I also loved spending sometime relaxing by the pool. We had a carefree and enjoyable stay in Charlotte. Everything at the hotel was very clean and it felt like a 5 star resort.
Perfect location for uptown events (new Bobcats arena, Blumenthal PAC, etc.) and dining (esp. Bentley's On 27, next door in Charlotte Plaza bldg). Room very comfy, clean & quiet -- and, relatively good value for 4-star property. Join Omni's no-cost "Select Guest" program for extra services (room preferences, free morning beverages & newspapers, etc.)

will never stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/06
I had very bad service. The 3rd shift people are very rude. The rooms are really little. You have to pay 12 dollars a day to park, we stay for only one night so that was 12$ when you check in and 12$ when you check out.
I recently stayed at the Omni for a convention and was very pleased with my stay. I had read some not-so-nice reviews and was concerned but I was already booked so I couldn't change. When I first arrived all the staff were very positive, friendly and looking out for my needs. I got a room on the top floor by request, it was a beautiful view ...

Looking forward to May
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/06
We have stayed at the Omni for the past 3 years and looking forward to the May races and a 4th trip.
The view is great and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff is very courteous and helpful.
We live in a suburb of Charlotte and decided to splurge and go and stay in the city. What a wonderful time we had and it was mostly thanks to OMNI for such a great experience. The jr. suite is wonderful. It had great views along with a cool layout for a room. The hotel check in process was painless and I believe I was there for less than 1 ...

MY WIFE AND I WENT TO THE OMNI ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT. WHEN I BOOKED THE ROOM THEY SAID THAT THEY DIDN'T OFFER ANY PACKAGES FOR WEDDING NIGHTS, HONEYMOONS, ECT. BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT I COULD ORDER CHAMPAIGNE AND CHOCOLATE COVERED STAWBERRIES TO BE WAITING FOR US IN THE ROOM. WHEN WE GOT THERE WE COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING IN THERE SO I ASK THE ...
