My daughter dropped her wallet containing cell phone, debit card, cash and ID. A guest turned it into the front desk. I hadn't planned on staying at this hotel. I had planned to stay at the Days Inn, in Raleigh OMG they were BAD! But my day got so much better after I got to this hotel the service was FAST and Great. The room was clean and stocked with everything I didn't have to ask for anything. I would stay here again.

Crystal at the front desk is a first class employee. Good on the phone, pleasant, good sense of humor. Please ensure she is recognized.

This is a smoke free hotel. There are no balconeys, and windows do not open. $200 charge if they smell smoke in the room.
Front desk employees were nice, but they didn't have a clue about near-by bars and restaurants. Sent us in the wrong direction and we ended up in ghetto land.
Look out for homeless people waiting outside front doors asking for money.
There is a pool, but no water in it.

Online says it has a pool, on this website...this location does not have a pool..very disappointing when I had to explain to my 2 year old daughter why they didn't have a pool and my husband and i always go to hotels with pools for her..website is very misleading

This hotel does NOT take pets as this listing says it does. The front desk was very snippy when I asked for verification of pet policy and even hung up on me when I said I read online that they did.

The service overall was very good. Exception was breakfast waitress. The evening meal was undercooked and not at all good, although the service at the evening meal was excellent. Front desk service was good. Lighting in the parking area not good.

My wife and I have stayed at the Clarion Hotel several times. We have always found the service and people to be GREAT and very helpful. The view of downtown Raleigh is wonderful and the hotel has always tried to give us the room with the view that we request. The restaurant also has a great view, but they could improve on the breakfast buffet. We can't wait for our next visit to downtown Raleigh and our stay at the Clarion Hotel.

The proximity to NC State, restaurants, and nightlife is awesome. Hotel restaurant gives almost 360 degree view of the downtown. Rooms were brand new and clean.
