Valentines DayHad a really good time walking distance of downtown. The bar was great! Bartender was very nice and drinks were good. Beautiful view. Staff very friendly. We went for valentines day and we didnt have any reservation for dinner and they were more then willing to help us find place to eat. Over all the hotel was great! I would stay again.OVERALLService

Great Location but Very MediocreThere are some good things about the hotel. It does have a great location and convenient on-site parking. Front desk was great and efficient with a quick trip from the parking garage up to your room. Roods have nice views all around. Ate dinner at the hotel, but it was very average with slow service. Watch Out-Poor SecurityMy daughter dropped her wallet containing cell phone, debit card, cash and ID. A guest turned it into the front desk. The front desk called to notify us that her wallet with all the above items was turned in. The front desk logged in the situation. Can't wait to go back!I hadn't planned on staying at this hotel. I had planned to stay at the Days Inn, in Raleigh OMG they were BAD! But my day got so much better after I got to this hotel the service was FAST and Great. The room was clean and stocked with everything I didn't have to ask for anything. No SmokingThis is a smoke free hotel. There are no balconeys, and windows do not open. $200 charge if they smell smoke in the room.
Front desk employees were nice, but they didn't have a clue about near-by bars and restaurants. Sent us in the wrong direction and we ended up in ghetto land.
Look out for homeless people waiting outside front doors asking for money.

pool?Online says it has a pool, on this website...this location does not have a pool..very disappointing when I had to explain to my 2 year old daughter why they didn't have a pool and my husband and i always go to hotels with pools for her..website is very misleading3 of 3 Yahoo! Great StayMy wife and I have stayed at the Clarion Hotel several times. We have always found the service and people to be GREAT and very helpful. The view of downtown Raleigh is wonderful and the hotel has always tried to give us the room with the view that we request. The restaurant also has a great view, but they could improve on the breakfast buffet.
