I stay in Tucumcari once a year when I travel home for Christmas. All the motels there are old and run down. At the Travelodge the rooms are typical; comfortable yet run down, old and out-dated fixtures. The facilities date back to the good ol' days of Route 66. My suggestion-- stay at the Comfort Inn, it's a newer building and is not so run down.
