Great resort, good people, good time! Like all the different things to do and amenities that are offered. Staff was very nice and made the whole time pleasent.
We stayed in a studio apartment. Units are 30 some years old, and beginning to show age. Recommend lower level or upper, but not hte middle do to thinness of walls. Pool areas are awesome - well kept and inviting. Workout room is great as well. overall, a nice place to visit in the summer time- recommended.

Best I've been to yet

Visited Squaw (3x), Sierra (3x), Kirkwood (2x), and Boreal(never again)this year, and overall I'd have to put Northstar at the top of the list. The lifts, the snow, the lodge, the runs... everything is great. Had a great time and will make it my resort of choice in the future. I'd say this resort seems to cater more toward the snowboarder crowd, which was actually a welcome change.

Good place for beginners

Northstar has great runs for beginners. Lots of space for practice and nice long runs that aren't too scary. However.. it is quite popular so it can get really crowded which then defeats the purpose of learning. Value wise, it's a bit more on the expensive side.
