The room was way overpriced for what it is. Granted, it was a holiday weekend, but $159 for this place is ridiculous. With tax it was $179.It is very, very old. Walls are very thin. Tiles are cracked in the shower and floor. Faucet practically came off in my hand. Towels were thread-bare. It was clean, but that is about all I can say about it. I would not stay there again.

My girlfriend and I always go up to Tahoe and stay here every time. All the rooms have a little fridge to fill with stuff and some even have microwaves. There are some rooms that join up. Spent our first night in this hotel last weekend, for $53 w/AAA discount it was a great deal. Room is comfortable, bathroom clean and the water warm. The host, Randy is very friendly and is a pleasure to be around during breakfast. The location is great too, walking distance from Safeway and restaurants around - 10 minutes from Homewood Ski resort.
