We can't wait to go back!We decided to get away for the weekend. The location was great. You are near so many great restaurants and the casinos all in walking distance. Make sure you try the Fire and Ice restaurant. The hotel staff is efficient and the ground are very well kept and clean. The house keeping staff does a great job. Poor serviceI booked a room in advance and they charge me $ 52.00 more and what the room charge was.
I called the frontdesk and they did not apoligize for the extra charge. Just TerribleThere was absolutely nothing I enjoyed about this hotel. The front desk was not accomodating, the room was uncomfortable and dirty and the prices could not have been more unreasonable. You've been warnedShower is broken. Internet is broken. GM told me that they can't control the quality. What a joke! Building is old and woods are thin. You'll hear people around you all night long. Almost cancelled reservation..glad I didn't!I liked this place. After reading some of the reviews I almost cancelled the reservation ( I booked then started researching the reviews. SOH!) The price was good.It was clean and everything worked. It isn't "woof woof fancy" but I can do without the fluff if I can save enuff!

dated and dingyGreat location but our room was very old and dingy looking. The bathroom had black mildew on the edges due to age. It was clean, but there are some things that just don't come off because of use and age. The couch was verrry old and I did not want to sit on it. I heard the newer rooms looked great so make sure you ask for a new room if planning to stay at this hotel. Sheets didn't look 100% clean. Walls are very thin.Was this review helpful? Horrible ExperienceMy husband and I stay in South Lake Tahoe quite a bit and this was our first horrible experience here. From check-in to check-out our stay at Forest Suites was extremely unpleasant. The customer service here was by far the poorest we have ever encountered. Save your money!We've been going to Tahoe for 15 years and this was our worst trip ever. Room leaked and management non-responsive. We understand that unseasonable rains made our skiing a problem, but the room was overpriced and outdated. The property certainly shows it's age from the peeling linoleum to the cobwebs found at will. Location is central but so are many other lesser priced options. Please try them.
