The Chatham Bars Inn is simply fantastic. Food and service are both excellent, cottage rooms are out of this world and the spa rivals the Four Seasons Nevis. My husband and I are going back in 4 weeks to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. This is the place to go on the Cape for lovers! Worth every single penny.

Cape Classic for 85yrs

I have gone to this Inn since 1977 first with my family and more recently took my 2-3 girlfriends over the years.
First off, re: the 4 Seasons comparisons. If you want a corporate/genric resort, then you should go to one. Comparing one of these half-dozen historic New England Inns to a sterile/cold cookie cutter resorts with their gold leaf and ...

Meh...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/07
Very nice place. Went to Inn to eat dinner in the Main Dining Room. Server was very good and on the ball. Two people in the party ordered dishes where the peas were extremely hard, frozen or somewhat stale. I didn't splurge and I ordered the fish and chips. The "chips" were regular McDonald like fries in their own little paper ...

Best Vacation Ever

The landscaping was perfect, the main inn was cozy and historic, and our rooms were very comfortable--by the end of the trip we started referring to them as 'home.'
The service was ...

Discusted with new management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/07
We've stayed several different times at CBI, though it has always been pricy we loved coming for family vacations. But since under new management the price has increased approximately an extra $300 per night and and they now charge for items that should be included in the price;such as kid activities turn down services and newspapers. We feel there is no added value for the extra money!

Great old time luxury
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/07
My husband and I went for our 4th wedding anniversery. It was very windy and rainy, we thought our weekend was ruined. The staff at this hotel was so fabulous, they upgraded us to a suite that would be closer to the Main Inn so we would not get drenched going to the tavern and lounge. Every staff member had a smile and you could see they were very ...
