We had a 17th floor river view room that was amazing. Drank my coffee in front of the floor to ceiling window every day watching the ships in the Mississippi. Central to the French Quarter, river walk, etc. Great location. Worst? Had to pay $30 a day to park, but valet was fast and courteous. Didn't bother to check out as there was 1 desk open ...

Fun but disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/09
Katrina has definately left her scars on New Orleans. It will be a long time before this city recovers. We were here New Years Eve so some of our problems may have been related to this. Keep your hand on your wallet. To start with all food prices in the area are extreme. The mini mart across the street really showed its colors. One pack of ...

LOVED IT! GREAT LOCATION!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/08
My husband and I spent my birthday in New Orleans and stayed here on the Club level and loved it. Free breakfast, free starbucks coffee in the rooms, free appetizers in the late afternoon. We were in the middle of everything: Harrah's Casino, the Riverwalk, Bourbon Street, the French Quarter. We had the perfect location.
The beds were comfy ...

The worst hotel stay I have ever had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/08
I attended a conference in this hotel in April 2008. I stayed three nights and each morning I woke up to a cold shower. I called down to the front desk four times for the same item and never received it. The housekeeping was horrible. The worst part of the story is that the Sheraton lost a package that I had shipped to the hotel prior to my ...
This hotel is a decent place to stay, but it is not the best i have been to. The hotel store was not opened when advertised, the food was only so-so and the housekeeping was alright but not great. I wouldn't refuse to stay there and it is a great location if you need to be in the business district and want tobe really close to the French ...
Loved it, as usual SPG Hotels are tastefully decorated, clean, friendly and this was all of that and more. I stayed in a King executive room which had a 46 inch or larger plasma TV and view of River. I stayed for 1 week and was quite comfortable. The beds are wonderful. Home away from home....

Unreasonable prices, incompetent staff, and unorganized valet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/07
I was in New Orleans for business for several weeks and stayed at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. Their valet parking is $30.18 a night. Internet service (EVEN IF YOU ARE USING WIRELESS AND CONNECTING TO A FREE SERVER) is $16.95 a night plus an internet tax of about $1.63. Valet was the reason I was late for work 3 to 4 days a week. I'd ...

valet was horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
everything was great but valet was horrible! I have stayed at plenty other hotels in New Orleans and around the country and have used the valet service but this one takes the cake. The valets were unprofessional and dirty looking. I will never stay at this location again based on the valet expierience alone. I advise no one to stay there as well.

Will not be going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/07
The service was terrible! It cost $30 per day to park your car and then it took 30 min to an 1hr to get your car. The location was superb however, the poor serivce overshadowed this perk!
