Great location. Maid service was spotty, with no shampoo or soap left when cleaning and no vacuum. We stayed 4 nights. Maintenance was changing lightbulbs in corridors and left broken pieces of glass on floor. I certainly expected better for the price.

It was amazing!

The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. Our room had two queen beds and a window that overlooked Orleans St. You would have a hard time beating the location, too. It wouldn't matter if you were there to sightsee, eat or party. This is the perfect hotel. The staff was also very friendly.

CHECK YOUR BILL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/08
I was double charged for 2 books that I booked through the internet; charged a 1 night stay on my credit card when hotel booked and also charged at the hotel; charged my daughter for auto valet and she took a taxi to the hotel. I had booked 6 rooms total and 4 billings were a mess.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

The mattresses, pillows are approx 20 years old. Luckily I am from the New Orleans area so I left at 2:00 a.m. to return home for a good night sleep. My husband, however was too tired to leave and woke up the next morning with a stiff back due to the springs in the mattress. He spent the entire day with an ice pack and heating pad. The spread ...
My husband and I just returned from a weekend in New Orleans. Though we booked a standard room with no balcony, on check-in we were given a bi-level suite with a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. We could hear the band at the Funky Pirate from our room and could watch people "enjoying" Bourbon Street's offerings all night long. ...
As a frequent visitor to N.O. (pre-Katrina), most activities have moved to the area of the Cathedral/Jax Brewery post Katrina, and this hotel is a great location; between Royal and Bourbon, and 1 block from Pat O'Brien's. Area is safe, and easy to navigate. Beds were wonderful!! Have stayed at several hotels in Quarters, and this will be my new favorite spot! Enjoy!!
Wonderful Location, Wonderful Staff. Happy to renew our acquaintance with the city in such a historic spot. Close to Bourbon St. Night life. Royal St. Galleries, and the river.
1. Best location, walking distance to Bourbon Street with beautiful views of it as well. Dont mind the noise though, it goes with staying at a hotel that close to Party Central 2. There were ghosts apparently. I thought it was cool to stay in a hotel where ghosts were. 3. Service was outstanding, id reccomend this hotel to anyone!
it did take us awhile to get there(they were sucking out the sewer in front) but once we made a scene the staff was FANTASTIC perfect location. sumptuous rooms. even after after Katrina we can't wait to go back!!!!
What a great place. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were really nice, even though you are only in them to sleep. The historical hotel is right on the corner of Bourbon St. and Orleans St. (the Tropical Isle is across the street - Hand Gernades!). My husband and I have been two New Orleans twice in 4 months and this hotel is the place we stay. The price is right for it's beauty, history and location.
