we love the resort and will go back make sure that you get a massage when you are there food is good and it is a little price the fitness center is the best the resort needs some maintenance or some TLC

It's so peaceful. Every room overlooks the water. You can step out onto the balcony and breath - not just look out a window. Feels like you're a million miles away from any stresses. We had a wonderful Eagle Watch weekend at Barkley, the lodge is just grand and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
We had the best trip ever and this was in January, do take warm clothes for this month but it was romantic and plenty to do and see.

Recently, me and my girlfriend stayed at the resort, and as true state parkers at heart, were overwhelmed by the value received at such a moderate price. The rooms are exquisite, the restaurant is to be commended on supper & breakfast and the entire resort is a true Ky. gem for couples or families. Words do not completely describe how nice this place truly is and we will, every chance we get, return.

It is a great place to just hang out and take it easy. This was our second trip and plan to continue to make it an annual one.
The new renovation is terrific, beds are now
very comfortable, new linens very attractive.
