i loved the hale koa. it was so nice. i loved how it was right on the beach! The food by the pool was great too.

Who is/was the so called "professional" that said this was a 2 star hotel? Just the beach area alone is worth 4 ****s. It is a truly wonderful experience and a great benefit to those who are and have served. And of course the on-site resturants are equally well valued.

I have been to the Hale Koa 4 times with my wife. I have never been disapointed at the hotel. The grounds are absolutely beauti full. Food was good and the people working there are great. I like the fact the hotel is military only, so you know people are going to be generally respectful. The cost is great for families and the service is wonderful! I think the Hale Koa is the best hotel on the beach!

BAD PART----sometimes military retirees can't get rooms because the hotel has a policy to allow "family" members to have rooms...without any system in place to check the validity of this reservation.

It has military rate to help us afford seeing our children at an affordable price. Thank you for providing this service to our military! You have an awesome facility!

We stayed at the Hale Koa in March 07. We renewed our vows for our 10th anniversary under the Maile Tower Gazebo. It was a beautiful place covered in purple flowers with just enough privacy for our ceremony. This place is in the best location and caters to the military with the best rates. This hotel is awesome for the price offered!! Best price in waikiki!!! Will defenitely use them next time!!!

We enjoyed the dining, swimming, the clean rooms and the friendly atmosphere. The gift store was amazing, I especially liked not having to pay tax! Would love to go back!
