Comfortable open air lobby (per weather conditions). Rather friendly staff. Non-hotel guests wonder around everywhere, thanks to its open design so a room key or military ID card is required to gain access to any of the hotel's services. The hotel guests are mostly older, beyond 50. Garden rooms are nothing more than Super 8 motel style, ...
The Hale Koa is a first-rate establishment. Great facilities, fabulous programs, the best sunset on Waikiki...what more could anyone ask for? Anyone eligible to stay at the Hale Koa is foolish not to do so. It is one of the best benefits that DoD employees in the Pacific have! Can't wait to go back.
this is my 2nd time staying at the Hale koa. My daughter I came in 2007 and this year my son and I. He had a ball. We had everyday full of things to do. There's nothing bad that I didn't like about the Hale Koa. Everyone there is great. Hope to be back in 2010, with the whole family.

Have stayed here 5-6 times and enjoyed it each time. Sorry to hear that a couple of people had problems with getting info via telephone. I've never had the problem and have always been met with cheerful people providing good info. It is currently doing remodeling on the upper floors of the older building so available rooms are fewer. Food ...

...Fly all the way to Hawaii, and......"could I git some old Guac & Cheese Whiz on those Nachos", just disgusting! The 01Sep08 morning Buffet, was even more of a disappointment, out of almost everything, excusses that it's got to come from the downstairs kitchen, out of Plates, Glasses, etc........Do you think that I was spending ...

I came here with my parents and extended family and I had an amazing time! Great location, great food, great rooms. The service is a bit of a hit-or-miss (the sundry lady was a bit rude, but the woman who checked us in was so sweet). It was awesome to be able to walk out the door and be on the beach. Overall a great vacation and a great hotel.

My family spent 7 days in beautiful Hawaii and resided at Hale Koa Hotel. The service was impeccable. The hotel is in a great location and very affordable. We plan to return for Christmas 2008.
WE HAVE BEEN THERE 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 18 YEARS AND ENJOY IT MORE WITH EVERY VISIT! RELAXING, BEAUTIFUL AND GREAT LUAU'S. BEACHES ARE WONDERFUL AND CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. TOP NOTCH RESTURANT'S TOO. WE LOVE HAWAII AND CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN AGAIN.
