The hotel was an great place for singles and family. I went with a group of 10 (adults and children) and every person was able to eat and enjoy the varitey of activities available at and around the hotel. The only problem we ran into was when our whole group sat together at all of the restraunts at the hotel and surrounding restraunts. Each time ...
On the way back to the U.S. from Okinawa, Japan, my family and I stayed at The Hale Koa Hotel. It was enjoyable, and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Especially loved the 4:00 A.M. ALOHA CALL!

Best Bang for the Buck

Great location, great restaurants, great shows. It is a military facility though so you have to be military or be sponsored by someone who is staying there. You could spend a week on Oahu while staying here and never need a rental car as there is so much to do.

We love the hotel. We have stayed there three times and we are looking forward to going back next year.

We like all the restuarants, they serve great food at a reasonable price. The pools are nice and clean along with the rest of the grounds. We love the large beach area that is not over crowded. The staff is very friendly and provide great customer service. It is my favorite place to stay at in Hawaii.

can't wait to come back!

Everything was great! We enjoyed the beach and had a lot of fun at the luau. Walking around on the grounds, enjoying the well manicured native plants.
This was hotel on the one of the most fabulous beaches in the world. The hotel was great, had a place to park our jeep. The activities were great. The whole experience was one of joy...can't wait to go back next year. By far the best military hotel we have ever stayed in around the world.
This was my third time at this hotel and I stayed for 2 weeks. I was very impressed with the food in the various restaurants at Hale Koa but this year I was very disappointed with the quality of the food in all the restaurants. It took the server a very long time to bring the food to the table and it was luke warm. This occured more than one time I would say at least 3 times. My sister and I decided to go to other restaurants in the area.

The Best of the Best

I have to say that the Hale Koa is the best hotel all around. You just cannot get any better for what you pay for. The only dislike I had was that too many young locals, non-guest are roaming around the hotel, which is a concern. Other than that, Bravo, Zulu.

Wonderful visit to Hawaii
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/06
Everything was first class, my wife had less then 6 months to live, and it was her ardent wish to visit Honolulu....Everything that the Hale Koa did, was absolutely beyond our wildest dreams....We could walk, take a tour bus, or cab...it was all made simple...The beach and pools were special...and the food, be prepared to walk off some of those wonderful meals....Ed Kogan
