This hotel is fabulous!! It has it's own private beach, and fabulous ocean views. The rates are amazing and the hotel itself is beautiful. There are resteraunts, poolside bars, and of course an Exchange, all available for it's patrons. You can't beat the value, and my husband and I will continue to stay and the Hale Koa Hotel on our next visits to the Island.

We stayed at The Hale Koa Hotel when it opened in October of 1975 and have been returning every year since then. There's been many positive changes since then, but we are impressed with each visit and always anxious to get back. Hale Koa, we love you.
Aloha and Mahalo for your excellent accomodations and friendly staff.

Liked everything. Visited 3 times past 20 years. Ideal location for everything. First class installation. Few steps to Wiakiki Beach. Walking distance to shopping, eating ,scenery.Rental cars nearby for trips around the island. Better yet, ride THE BUS which is inexpensive and circles the island while you view the scenery, ocean views and local cultureWonderful R*R spot.

This is the BEST hotel. We always enjoy our stay there. Very reasonably priced for dining and rooms. We just love it. The rooms are very spacious and cleaned to perfection. The staff are very, very nice.

What a great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
This was the best vacation for us. We went there in 1990 and it was great then I can just imagine now. We will go back for our 25th Anniversay as a second honeymoon. Best idea for the may active/retired military members who need affordable lodging. Keep up the good job you deserve a Bravo Zulu.

First Choice For Military
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
The Hale Koa is always our first choice for a hotel in Honolulu. We have stayed there at least 15 times in the past 10 years and it continues to be an excellent value. You cannot, repeat cannot, beat the value and the location. Simply outstanding. Go during the Christmas season and enjoy the holiday decor.
Parking was easy, the scenery and the room were both beautiful. Absolutely no downsides to my experience. I even bought plants/seeds to send home from a shop near the lobby.

My husband and I visited Oahu in November of 2005 for our 10th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Hale Koa and it was wonderful. Perfect location as you are right on Waikiki Beach. Barefoot Bar is great, right near pools and also great for after dinner drinks. Everyone was so nice, breakfasts were amazing and with a beautiful view. The price is ...

Would love to live in the hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
It was all to like and nothing to dislike. The hotel had everything you needed so flying there and not needing to pack it all was great. The view of the ocean from the hotel was beautiful. Have some great memories with my 8 year old daughter, getting our coffee early in the morning and taking it out on the beach to enjoy the view and sound of the ocean.
