I had read the reviews on this site and decided I would not be happy staying here but my only other option was river front and it was under construction plus $40 more so I thought... I don't want to stay in a chain I want to stay in an Old Landmark Hotel. I am so glad that I made that choice. Upon arrival the front desk staff was SO FRIENDLY ...
We had a 11:30 reservation and had requested a veranda table. When we arrived we told the very sullen girl that we had requested an outside table. She said that was first come, first serve. It was eleven thirty in the morning..We tood our seats where we were left..As we stood to help ourselves, without instructions, We saw several tables ...
The ambiance of this hotel is unmistakable. From rooms tucked away down winding halls, an entrance greeting you with purely southern architectural pillars, this place is visually exciting...until you get inside. Sitting on the front veranda looking across the street at a historical and beautiful building while sipping a drink is wonderful. Some of the staff in dining have been there for years and always act ...

The hotel is being renovated and a lot of the hotel is shut down. Several of the people found bugs in their rooms and the air conditioning was loud or did not work.
We arrived around 11:30 am or so for our 11:15 am reservation. We were running late, then we got caught by the train and were even later. I dropped my wife at the door and went to park. When the kids and I arrived at the restaurant, we already had a table waiting for us. Our server, Jekia, was ...
