To expensive for NO reason. bedroom view is horrible ( you're face to face with an enormous parking) The breakfast room is a little hole and the food was not better than in a Quinta. They don't serve a complimentery wine and cheese on Sunday. (but other hotels do. ) ect...

What a great find.

My mother was looking for a place to stay in Savannah and stumbled on the Planters Inn- what a find. Karen - the concierge was kind and helpful- Tom the valet was most kind to my invalid mother. The entire staff made our trip a very memorable one and we are glad to have found a new home in Savannah

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/08
This will be our 6th trip to Savannah and each time we have stayed at the Planters. As usual the service was great and the staff more than helpful. We would'nt stay anywhere else in Savannah. Derek Higgs Mount Airy NC.

Dont bother
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/08
This supposed non smoking hotel was a big dissapointment. We booked there because it is next door to the restaurant we were going to was next door. We arrived at 2 oclock which was 2 hours early for the 4 oclock check in. We waited and waited and finally at about 4:45 we were taken to our room. When we got to the room it was clear someone had been ...
I have nothing bad to say about The Planters Inn! Very helpful, friendly, and the facility is beautiful, rooms are great, I can go on and on. I had a bad experience just previously in Charleston at a B and B and this made up for it completely. I would highly recommend and revisit The Planters Inn.

The Best in Savannah
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/07
This hotel was gorgeous inside and out, with a southern Bed-and-Breakfast feel, with a fantastic (and gratis) wine and cheese happy hour. The staff treats you like royalty as well.
The hotel is very nice. Neat and clean, but not a mega giant. We found it very nice for a quiet time. The breakfast is just ok, but then again its free. The wine and cheese tasting in the evenings is a nice touch. I was very pleased with our accomodations. Our room did overlook a parking garage, but I think thats the way the city is unless ...

I long to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/07
I've stayed twice at the Planters Inn in Savannah and want to go back again! I love the Historic District and everything is in walking distance of the Planters Inn. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The sheets divine! Add the wine and cheese and it makes it a wonderful place to stay. We didn't mind facing the parking garage as it ...

Not going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/07/07
The room was clean and nice enough, but a few bothersome details: bed was NOT comfortable -- too hard and pillows too thick; our windows like most of the hotel's rooms faced the parking deck; lightbulbs out in bedside lamps and no remote control for TV. Too many hotel choices in Savannah; not going back.
