First, when we arrived our hotel room wasn't ready ... even though check in time was listed as 3PM. It was annoying that we got to the hotel at 1PM and had to wait a while ... but we understood this as our issue not the hotel's. I mention that because NOTHING at The Boardwalk felt accommodating. We asked multiple times for additional towels ...

On arrival having paid in full for accommodation, there was no booking, had to wait 1 hour having travelled from Ireland, tired and hungry. Got up next morning to no electricity, no hot water. Staff are moody and miserable. Don't stay here. Plenty of nicer hotels very close by.

First room we got had a few issues, rotten food in fridge, no hot water,
no heat, (was in the 40's at night), they moved us to another.
Still no heat, but sent a nice guy to fix it in a few minutes.
You can tell this used to be a very nice place about 10 years ago.
The staff was very nice and the breakfast was better than expected.
