This place is filled with druggies, and drunks with a bar on premises. Fights often erupt, and two female clerks have quit due to violence. One clerk working here was attacked with an ax, and it is filled with roaches. Stay away from this hell hole.

When staying in downtown los angeles, I accept no substitute for the Stillwell hotel. The mems that I have built at this hotel are legendary. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, this structure is magical. hithit!

I love the Stillwell. Reminds me of the 50's. The hotel is very clean and accomodating. It's not fansy, but who cares at this rate. The Indian restaurant in the hotel is yummy. Lot's of interesting people. I like the area.

It would be irresponsible of me not to warn other travelers of this hotel. It is a very dilapidated, run-down place. Perhaps it was once a nice place to stay, but the present day Stillwell is a place where few travelers will really want to be.

This hotel was clean and in the perfect area. I felt safe walking into it late at night, the front desk clerk was very helpful and it has a cute little bar in it with great bartenders. I would for sure stay here every time I need to go to downtown los angeles.

Do not be decieved by the pictures, this hotel gives you an uncomfortable, sick feeling just walking through the door. The girl at the front desk was inattentive and unfriendly. About this hotel, the only advantage is its convenient location access to rail station and bus stops. But its service was bad and the envinorment is uncomfortable, the room is dirty with a bad smell. And I also found there were other customer's hairs left on the bed, the bad smell from blanket and sheet showed they did not clean the bed after last customer checked out.

When I stayed there, I found the high rise building and soundproof windows made it a very affordable quiet place to stay in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.
