This hotel is located right in the business area of downtown. Dont expect too much.
you get what you paid for. So stop complaining and just deal with it!!

This hotel was good in all aspects. A nice place to enjoy. Good service was given by the hotel staff, would like to visit this place again along with my family and friends.

Filthy, disgusting odors, extremeley poor customer service. Scarey place. Would give it a D-. Couldn't sleep for fear of someone breaking into the room, or roaches were crawling about.

I stayed at Stillwell for almost a whole week in late April 2006. I did not get the lowest price (USD 49) but a reasonable one. I payed in advance via my VISA-card. I liked the fact that this hotel is close to the centre of Downtown LA, and that is it!

I disliked, staying in a mouldy, dirty, disgusting hotel. Ignore any photos showing nice clean rooms, it's a lie. I'm not sure my room was cleaned in the couple of days I stayed for!

We booked this hotel strictly based on the deceiving photos on their website. As soon as we walked into the lobby we noticed a large amount of transients and the smell of mold. Upon checking in we noticed postings for the residents - yes, people actually live there!

The hotel seems to be a rather cool place to stay - it's an old building and has a lot of character, the location is wonderful, and it isn't too expensive.

This is what I would imagine staying in a student hostle might be like. People actually live there, it's dirty, I was scared to even touch anything in the bathroom, lay on the bed, not wear shoes in the room, touch the tv, or even sit in the chairs. Thankfully I already had reservations in another hotel for the other nights of my stay. Looking back I'd rather have paid $20 more and stayed at the Ritz Milton.
