Although the location and value of the Carmel Bay View Inn is good it is certainly not worth the trade-off of what it is lacking in customer service, specifically the front desk staff and management. During the course of my 3 week stay the electricity was lost for an evening and the internet was down for 4 days. There were several other mishaps ...

We think this inn is a very good value - not far from the main street through Carmel. It is also very clean and has larger rooms than most hotels in Carmel. We've stayed there twice and would recommend it definitely for friends who want a moderate priced room.

My husband and I love this place! My girlfriends and I stay here also. It's convieniant to all shops and restaurants. The beds comfy and the the rooms have a real cozy feel to them taht keeps us coming back 4 times a year!- Sarah A.

We were quite surprized by the cleanliness and ease to get to the shops. Great location. The bathroom was really nice even though the room was a little small. Very nice and we'll be back again.

The view is great from some of the rooms, but the new management does give poor service, and does not even speak English well. Service was better before!

We go to Carmel twice a year and have learned a lot about this area.This hotel offers the best value in carmel.The staff was very polite and helpful with any request we asked.The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom is very accomadating also.The breakfast was very nice and we found no need for lunch on several days.The location is next door to Brunos Deli, where you can find almost anything you might want.

Motel is situated well. Our room was overlooking the pool-in fall/winter fine, but in summer beware of noise.

Room was very nice. 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, fireplace, balcony with a great view,(not their fault it was foggy most of my stay), refrigerator. Good bath products. Nice breakfast in the breakfast room with breakfast items restocked immediately by a watchful woman who has been at the hotel for over 35 years. Tell you saw this review...She was great! ...
