Don't stay at hotel del
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/09
Union Local 30 has some sort of action underway and are yelling at guests thru loud speakers to check out....not the sort of environment you want to bring your family to on vacation.
Housekeeping does a poor job, walls are so thin you hear the conversations in the adjoining rooms, food service is mediocre at best, wireless internet is so weak you can't stay connected, etc., etc.
My wife wanted to stay at this hotel for nearly 20 years. After putting aside some… a lot of money, we went for our 20th anniversary along with our seven-year-old daughter.
Before leaving, my wife called the main number and asked if we would need reservations for dinning or kid’s activities. We were told that as guests of the hotel, ...
We've been a frequent customer of the Del over the past several 4th of July holidays and I have enjoyed them thoroughly. We keep coming back.
However, I must say this years stay at the Del has been the most disappointing we've ever experienced, not just at the Del, but anywhere. We travel the country and ...
The best vacation our family has gone on in quite awhile. The beach room was just absolutly beautiful, we could just walk out our patio right on the beach. The hotel was just as advertised with areas that exceeded the pictures.Food was a little pricey, the breakfast buffet was worth every penny. The shops had some excellent prices on clothing. You get what you pay for. Service was very good and our room was always fresh and cleaned, no complaints.
My Girlfriend went to the Hotel Del and while there her locker was opened in the Spa and her money and Credit card was taken. Could it have been an employee? Well since she was the only person in the Spa and since the lockers have a code that only her and they know, I will leave it up to you. The final would I can give you is to be careful and keep an eye on anything you do not want to lose.

Ruined Our Wedding Dreams
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/08
I want to start off by saying that my fiance and I chose the Hotel del above all other Southern California locations to host our wedding next year. My fiance's family has 3 generations of Navy officers that were stationed in Coronado, so it was quite a significant place for us to tie the knot.
So I have a knack for picking out some of the nicest places to stay, but I learned my lesson on this trip, nice is not always the best. We booked online and was unaware of the $25 a day mandatory resort charge, that includes the same things that you get at a holiday inn (like an in room coffee maker) except for the broken down beach chairs that ...
For $1,600 a night for a studio suite you would think that the maids could actually vacuum the sand up off the floor and maybe empty and clean the hot tub. Call me crazy, but I would have thought they could have collected the coffee cups up and cleaned them, but I guess I was expecting too much. The hot tub was a $100 option as part of the room and ...
