We checked in to room #245 and while moving things found some kind of "droppings" on the carpet. I appeared to be rodent or bird. The employees apologized but it made for an uncomfortable stay. The noise level in the morning was also high with the maids cart going by very early.
Front desk people courteous and helpful; let me check in 2 hours early. Free wireless internet in rooms. Restaurant staff nice, service good, food yummy.
Outdoor bar at swimming pool looked great. I did not use it but it was well-attended by other customers.
The noise from other rooms was noticed by me, but it was NOT bad. I could hear ...
We stayed here three das in July, and we had a good stay. The bar right next to the pool is wonderful and the bartender we had was helpful in suggesting places to eat in town like Rudy's awesome mexican food and dirt cheap prices! We loved having the complimentary internet on the hotel computer in the lobby. We also great appreciated the ...
This hotel was truly a step up from the Motel 6 a couple blocks away, that we stayed in on our last trip to UCSB. Although the rooms are basically the same size, the Holiday Inn has real stone floors and walls in the bathroom! The SLIDING GLASS door on the bathroom didn't provide much privacy, but was unique to look at and get peeks of the ...
This "hotel" is bad. Rooms are small, noisy, old. Definitely needs a remodelling. It's bad enough hearing your neighbor's through paper thin walls, it's worse when it's prom night, and your underage neighbor's keep you awake performing acts into the night. Not a family hotel. Underage couples appear to be the predominant clientele.
Location is not to bad. Pool area is nice and comfy looking! Close to resturants and a short drive to El Capitan and Refugio State beaches as well a short drive to Santa Barbara.
