This was a beautiful place to stay with history to boot! A charming old hotel with attention to detail in the architecture...will be back to stay again soon!

I've been staying at the Curly Redwood Lodge with my family since I was 3 or 4 years old. My Grandma, Mother, Brother and I would drive up from the Napa Valley every year and stay for a week. The Lodge was a big part of our vacation and I'm now planning a trip with my husband and 2 year old daughter this April. I can't wait to see the hotel again.

We stayed at this wonderful place in September 2007 on our 3 week 7,200 mile drive out west. (And you can believe that we really enjoyed our motel rests!) We loved the retro feel of it! The right at your door parking with planters of flowers was so convenient. The redwood that is used in the rooms and on the exterior is beautiful. If you want to stay someplace unique-this is the place. It will remind you of road trips when you were young!

Very charming place. Great town too. Room was H U G E and immaculate. Manger was a joy to talk with and very accomodating. We stayed 1 night but wished we could have stayed more. If ever in Crescent City again, we'll be right back. To the owners and their son.........thanks for all the attention to detail. We loved it.

We stayed at the Curly Redwood Lodge in Crescent City, CA. on our July 2006 vacation to see the Redwood trees. The motel is very clean, the staff friendly and the location is great. It took me back in time to the motels we stayed in on family vacations when I was a kid. It is built from a Redwood tree and that makes it very unique. We enjoyed our stay there.

The staff was extremely helpful, In fact the advice I received from the kind woman that ran the hotel when I arrived pretty much made my trip. Having never been to Redwood National Park before I had no idea where to go and she was more than gracious in turning me in the right direction and even showing me on the map where her favorite destinations ...

Parked at my door just like we did when we were kids, no stairs or elevators. Real big rooms, very clean and very good deal. We could have spent another $30 at the Best Western or Hampton. This is the best spot in Crescent City. And what a period piece.

I stay at this hotel every time we make a trip to the Redwoods thanks to the consistency in service, overall comfort level and, of course, the little perks that make all the difference. The Curly Redwood Lodge is not only adorable and homey, but has historical value in that the majority is made of one massive Redwood tree featured in photos ...
