Very nice place to stay!We stayed at the Curly Redwood Lodge in Crescent City, CA. on our July 2006 vacation to see the Redwood trees. The motel is very clean, the staff friendly and the location is great. It took me back in time to the motels we stayed in on family vacations when I was a kid. Cool PlaceParked at my door just like we did when we were kids, no stairs or elevators. Real big rooms, very clean and very good deal. We could have spent another $30 at the Best Western or Hampton. What motels used to be!Perfect place to stay in Crescent City, Covered (large) parking in front of your room. Large very clean rooms, Classic style with metal room keys on plastic diamond shaped "fobs", "Glass" drinking glasses in appropriate paper wrappers, Paper "bands" on toilet seat "Sanitized for your protection". Classic piece of California travel americanaStayed here in late April, 2004. This place is a vintage jewel! Very large room and friendly family run. Clean and very big rooms. one of the best hotels "for the money" I have ever stayed inThe staff was extremely helpful, In fact the advice I received from the kind woman that ran the hotel when I arrived pretty much made my trip. Classic Lodge from the 50sThis place was great. We heard about it from friends and while we were on vecation we gave it a try. The place was so well maintained. So clean and comfortable. It sure is unique with the design and being built with one redwood tree. Best bet for the area with all the others charging twice the amount during the summer. A memory of old road trips!We stayed at this wonderful place in September 2007 on our 3 week 7,200 mile drive out west. (And you can believe that we really enjoyed our motel rests!) We loved the retro feel of it! The right at your door parking with planters of flowers was so convenient. The redwood that is used in the rooms and on the exterior is beautiful.
