I just stayed here for the first time and it was a very nice hotel with a great location. I got a great deal this time of year and would stay here again if I had a chance. The staff was friendly and I had a nice view of the bay as requested.

The hotel has an excellent location - overlooking waterway busy with cruise ships, boats and yachts. My wife and I walked a lot along this waterway and noticed that San Diegoans drive to Shelter Island to relax, to fish, to walk and jog. The front desk was very efficient and helpful and room service was excellent.

Front desk staff very nice and friendly. The buffet breakfast was very good, nice selection of eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, cereals and danishes. There are so many pros and almost no cons. This place is close to everything in San Diego but off most people's radar. Loved the convenient location. staff very helpful. Wonderful to walk by bay every morning and evening. area felt safe for woman walking alone. Enjoyed the boat activity on bay as additional bonus to our stay. Looking forward to a return stay.

Service was great. Friendly staff. Rooms are designed in a cozy way and are very clean. Big, fluffy mattresses to sleep. Selection for complimentary breakfast is basic, but well cooked, nevertheless, and will fully satisfy if you wanna stuff yourself.

For the past ten years, I've stayed at the Bay Club whenever I’ve visited San Diego. The service and staff are excellent. The Shelter Island location is unbeatable and makes it a pleasant, easy (and short) drive to San Diego Lindberg Airport, Balboa Park, Old Town, and Coronado—without ever having to jump on a freeway!
