Here's a tip from one penny pincher to another:

Don't call the hotel if you want reservations, they will tell you all sorts of things. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, the operator lied and said that whiskey pete's was SOLD OUT but he could get us a room in Buffalo Bill's for $50.

We went back online, got a room for $23 ...

Whiskey Pete's Hotel & Casino is a great value for me. (us). We Landsailers stay there for: Great fun. We can easily walk to Ivanpah Lake to landsail, view our equipment from our rooms, (as we leave them on the lake overnight). Buffalo Bills has always been very friendly, courteous and offers very good deals on rooms. Tip: Get a Players Club Card and they'll periodically send you discount invitations for free rooms and even concerts. Going to see Kenny Loggins this time. They do get a bit busy though. But service is excellent and a nice atmosphere helps it be worth the wait.

Great room prices.Our nephew stayed here with his fianace and twe all agreed it is the very best value for the money.

Having been to WP's many times, I found out from the registration desk during one of my check-in's that my commercial drivers license entitled me to a discount to an even lower room rate than they already are.....sooooo if you have a class B or class A drivers license, be sure to ask for the commercial drivers license room rate. Its really only a few dollars but what the hey:)

We paid $23 for a Tue nite. There is a monorail that can shuttle people to and from the large "Outlet" Mall nearby. The room was large enough, clean, and quiet. The elevators were hidden off to the side which was a bit confusing, but I got used to it.

I think whiskey petes is a great place for the price close to the outlet centers, a monorail and bus to take you back and forth. Buffet was good, people in coffee shop were a little under staffed but still pleasant. And just a 30 minute jaunt to the strip. We will be back again and again.

Nice hotel, great pool and facility. I did not like that they had 1 working elevator out of 4, and we were on the 18th floor. Also we ate at two restaurants there and both of them double billed my credit card.

Rate was good and nice place to stop, and very friendly staff.

$21/night! You can't beat this deal. It was definitely well worth it. Days prior to our departure, I had read the reviews. I was a bit worried, because quite a few of them were negative. But everything was great! We will definitely return soon!
